I am happy with this current version of Wet Clothes. My wife said the second draft felt incomplete and needed fleshing out and Janet’s suggestion that there was another poem at the bottom. Those comments prompted the additional stanzas and the removal of the additional poem. That additional poem will be worked on at some point. I am focusing on a couple of other writing projects at the moment. I also sculpted the poem to reflect the rhythm of the ritual. I would like to know if you find it helpful or distracting, so please post your feedback. I appreciate that people like the poetry and encourage you to subscribe to the blog. Jane suggested I read John Foulcher’s “Summer Rain” but finding a link for that poem was hard within the time limit I have on this computer.
